Shipping & Ordering Details

Ordering:

  • Once you have selected a product, and you would like to move forward with making a purchase, the first thing we ask is that you carefully review the product specifications and details on your formal proposal.
  • If all specifications are correct, then we ask that you sign your proposal, and send it back to us with your required deposit. We are glad to accept, checks, cash as well as credit cards.* (*small processing fee may apply for all credit card transactions)
  • Once a signed proposal and deposit have been received, we will begin to process the order and schedule. Please note whatever lead time had been discussed and agreed upon begins once initial payment is received.
  • If your order is to be sent via LTL freight, we are glad to provide a freight quote at the time the order is placed. However, we do not and cannot guarantee that price at a later date, as we are at the mercy of constantly fluctuating freight costs.
  • For material only jobs, the outstanding balance on the order must be paid either when the order is picked up, or before the arranged ship date.

Shipping:

  • Ward Hardwood Flooring works with a variety of freight companies so that we can ensure the best price and service possible. Keep in mind that delays, accidents, losses, and other calamities can and do occur, and Ward Hardwood Flooring is not responsible for those issues.
  • Should you prefer to pick up your flooring at our warehouse, you can do so with a few days" notice.
  • Be sure to be prepared for your flooring when it arrives at the jobsite.  Having a clear, climate conditioned space is essential.  You should also plan on lining up adequate help or equipment to assist in the unloading process.  LTL freight services are TAILGATE DELIVERIES ONLY.
  • HERE ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT DETAILS WE CAN GIVE YOU, DON"T SKIP THIS LINE!  It is essential that you physically inspect your material upon arrival.  If there is damage to the flooring or packaging, BE SURE TO NOTE IT ON THE BILL OF LADING.  Damage caused during transit is the responsibility of the freight company and has to be brought to their attention.  If damage is extensive, then call Ward Hardwood Flooring immediately, and refuse the load.   As you are unloading your flooring, inspect it to be sure it matches all specifications per your job invoice.  Have a contractor or wood flooring professional on site to test the moisture content of the flooring and to ensure that it is properly milled.  It is essential that any product claims be made at this point, BEFORE INSTALLATION HAS BEGUN.  Once you nail it down, you are accepting the material as is!
